With “Livin’ Out a Country Song,” Johnny Solinger returns with a sophomore country project that tips a hat to the singers’ roots.

The self-proclaimed “redneck from the great state of Texas” is best known as the front man of the rock band, SKID ROW, but living in Houston, country music has always been close to Johnny’s heart.

“It might seem odd to have such drastic tastes in music,” he says, “but it feels perfectly natural to me.”

“Livin’ Out A Country Song” is featured by All Access in the “Cool New Music” section this week. See it HERE.

A previous solo country project was released regionally and the single “Too Well To Go To Work” hit the top 20 on the Texas Music Charts, making it to the #16 spot. Filled with both the country and rock sides of Johnny Solinger, the debut album was a perfect introduction to Johnny for country fans who may not have been aware of the versatile singer or the band SKID ROW.

Since the release of that first effort, SKID ROW experienced an astounding re-emergence on the world stage, covering all corners of the globe, including China, Australia, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Wales, Sweden, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan, and even Russia. Extensive touring of the U.S. followed, delaying the planned release of Johnny’s second country record, but the time is now and the artist has slipped on his comfortable boots for the adventure.

“I’m so excited about these songs and this new record that I glow in the dark,” says Solinger. “The first one was never ever meant to be a one and done, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks kind of deal. I LOVE making these records and completely flipping the switch from hard rock back to my country roots.”

Andy Velo recognized his path at an early age and began writing and performing songs that energized and fueled his passion.

Known as a “high energy, in-your-face, take-you-away-for two hours showman,” Andy’s shows draw large, interactive crowds of country music lovers who relate to his songs of heart break, rainy days, good times, love, laughter, and the assurance that life is worth living.

Dedicated to fitness and faith as much as to his fans, Andy’s new single, “Southern Thing” is now available.

“Southern Thing” by Andy Velo is featured by the music industry website All Access in the “Cool New Music” section this week. See it HERE.

Andy has shared the stage with Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, and with Jimmy Wayne, Dierks Bentley, and Brad Paisley on Brad’s American Saturday Night Tour in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In 2010, he released “Hank It Up” to national radio and excitement over that first release developed into the cultivation of a relationship with Velo’s now regional sponsor, Jim BeamTM. The partnership has taken the determined young artist to a whole new level, sharing his music with fans at events like the Jim BeamTM Ultimate Tailgates and various other promotions.

In a short detour from music, Andy has branched out onto the silver screen, counting among his credits supporting roles in 2006’s, We Are Marshall starring Matthew McConaughey. He’s also appeared in One Missed Call and had an action stunt role in The Blind Side starring both Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. Although not pursuing acting with the same singleness of purpose with which he pursues music, clearly performance is the key to this all-American Southern gentleman.

Camaraderie with the audience is the recipe for success for Andy. “My work is like a party. Not only do I get to attend, but I’m the guest of honor, and all I have to do is focus on the music and the fans. That’s where it’s at for me; if the fans like your music and get the real you, THEY want to be a part of it, and they’ll pass you along.”

Performer and record producer Nathan Stanley announces the opening of Stanley Generation Records and the signing of that label’s first act, Laura Dodd, winner of the 2010 Inspirational Country Music new artist of the year award.

Stanley Generation Records is currently winding up negotiations for the label’s product to be distributed nationally by Sony/RED and has retained record industry veteran Larry Pareigis and his Nine North/Turnpike Music team to oversee radio promotion.

Stanley brings a lifetime of music business experience to his new enterprise. He was virtually a toddler when he began performing on stage with his grandfather Ralph Stanley’s band, the Grammy-winning Clinch Mountain Boys. Beginning as a spoons player, he graduated into roles as lead vocalist, mandolinist and rhythm guitarist with the band. Off stage, he participated in every essential business chore from selling merchandise to recording and producing. As a Clinch Mountain Boy, he has performed in all 50 states and Canada on stages ranging from bluegrass festival shelters to the Grand Ole Opry to Carnegie Hall.

Last year, at the age of 18, he released his fourth album, My Kind Of Country, a project he also co-produced. This collection of traditional country songs was his fourth solo album and featured guests appearances by such luminaries as Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Gene Watson, Del McCoury, John Anderson, Rhonda Vincent and Patty Loveless. He is currently producing a tribute album to his legendary grandfather. It too will be on his new label.

“It’s no exaggeration to say that music has been my life,” says Stanley. “I love performing and recording, but I’m also fascinated with music as a business, as a way of developing and supporting artists. I want Stanley Generation Records to give artists the support and freedom to do what they do best—and that is to transform people’s lives with their music. That’s why I’m so happy to see Laura Dodd as our flagship artist. She’s an amazing entertainer.”

Dodd, a native of Gadsden, Alabama, comes to Stanley Generation Records with a rich history of performing. Both a formally trained and a church-seasoned vocalist, Dodd has done shows with George Jones, Rascal Flatts, Patty Loveless, Restless Heart, Josh Turner, Bruce Hornsby and Ben Vereen, among others. She also performed at the White House on behalf of the Miracle League World Series, at an event hosted by President and Mrs. George W. Bush.

“I’ve watched Nathan develop as a musical mentor,” says Dodd, “and he’s seen me grow as a singer and songwriter,” Dodd says. “I’m thrilled to help him inaugurate Stanley Generation Records and honored to be associated with such a legendary musical name.”

Stanley Generation Records expects to release Dodd’s first single from her forthcoming album in June. In addition to recording for Stanley, she will also tour with him on selected dates as well as perform separately with her own band.
